Alexander Sitkovetsky

Alexander Sitkovetsky was born in Moscow into a family of musicians. His artistic career began in childhood, performing with the Netherlands Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Orchestra in Berlin, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, and many others. In recent years, Alexander has played violin with the Brussels Philharmonic, the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Notably, he has also performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The artist performed Andrzej Panufnik's Violin Concerto in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the composer’s birth, alongside the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and the Poznan Philharmonic. Alexander has also recorded works for Angel/EMI, Decca, Orfeo, Onyx, BIS, and Avanti Classic. Among these recordings is Bach’s Double Violin Concerto, performed with Julia Fischer.

Este membru fondator al Trioului de pian Sitkovetsky, împreună cu pianistul Wu Qian și cu violoncelistul Leonard Elschenbroich, alături de care a câștigat numeroase premii și distincții.
